Programs and Services

Mainstay Life Services offers a variety of ideal living arrangements based on the desires and abilities of the people in need of our support. Whether they remain at home with their families, live with host families, or venture out on their own to experience greater independence, we provide the perfect setting and necessary services to support their wishes.

Mainstay’s Community Services Department provides supports throughout western Pennsylvania, with Residential Services provided in more than 50 Mainstay homes throughout Allegheny County.

Specialized supports are an integral part of our distinct programs. We provide assistance that helps to make life easier and more fulfilling for those receiving our supports. These include:

• Medical care coordination
• Transportation services
• Diabetes support
• Sexuality counseling

Mainstay Life Services operates in compliance with the Chapter 51, 6400 and 6500 Regulations of the Office of Developmental Programs, Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, which governs services for people with intellectual disabilities, as well as with the guidelines of the Allegheny County Office of Intellectual Disability.
