Residential

24-Hour Supports

For people who require around-the-clock services and support, Mainstay has community homes where comprehensive assistance is provided. Our dedicated team members lend a hand with activities of daily living, while encouraging a person supported to achieve their maximum independence. Mainstay’s person-centered programs identify the level of support that is needed. Examples of support that could be provided include helping with medication administration, cleaning and organizing, attending medical appointments, transportation, money management, personal care, cooking and nutrition, wellness, community activities, and recreation.

Prader-Willi Syndrome Supports

People living with PWS experience chronic hunger, growth hormone deficiency, and behavior challenges. PWS is an extremely rare genetic disorder. If uncontrolled, PWS can lead to life-threatening obesity. Mainstay is proud to be the only Southwestern PA service provider with a dedicated program to help people living with PWS to thrive.

Nine (9) of our community homes support 12 adults living with PWS.

Technology Supports

In 2022, Mainstay opened its first home where the people living there received overnight support using technology. The use of remote supports continues to expand and in 2024, Mainstay brought its remote monitoring in-house. Now overnight remote support is provided by Mainstay employees, right here in Western PA.

Additionally, beginning in 2021, the people living in every Mainstay home have had access to StationMD for specialized telehealth for people with intellectual disabilities and autism (including behavioral health services).

At Mainstay, technology solutions promote the health, wellness, safety, and independence of the people that we support.
