Thanks for making our Golf Outing a success!

On Monday, June 24, 124 golfers joined us at The Club at Nevillewood for the 17th Annual Charlie Ross Memorial Charity Golf Outing. We had a beautiful day of bright blue skies, sunshine, and temperatures in the low 80s… a welcome relief after the prior week’s record-breaking heat wave!

Before the shotgun start, participants enjoyed Mainstay Mimosas hosted by Mindful Kreative, a delicious lunch, and great company. After enjoying the day on the course, golfers were joined by 40 additional guests in the ballroom where fun, food, and fundraising continued. Our silent auction was a big hit with fan-favorite items including a 2025 U.S. Open experience, relaxing vacations to Garden City Beach and Asheville, signed Minkah Fitzpatrick and TJ Watt Jerseys, Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins tickets, and more! The evening wrapped up with music from the band Tullycavy, an outstanding dinner, a video showcasing 25 moments to remember from the past year, awards, and prizes.

A big thanks to co-chairs Ryan Casciani and Janna Chiurazzi Young for chairing another successful event, grossing more than $168,000. Funds raised from the outing are contributed to the Irene and Dr. Walter Jacob Supplemental Needs Fund and make it possible to fulfill our mission and help the people we work for to live their best lives. Projects supported include:

  • Exercise programs & memberships
  • Hearing aids and glasses
  • Tickets to community events
  • Art programs
  • Vehicle modifications
  • Travel
  • Technology
  • And so much more!

As Mainstay’s Advancement & Engagement Summer Intern, I learned a lot from taking part in the planning, preparation, and execution of this event. It taught me many skills about organization, time-management, detail, and the drive needed to pull off an event at this level. I also learned about the many months of behind-the-scenes preparations that go into planning an event, including gathering sponsors and donors, advertising and drawing supporters, creating materials like our Digital Program Book, and so much more.

As a college student coming to the end of her schooling career and ready to take my first steps into the business world, this opportunity has allowed me to learn so many valuable skills that go into running an event that will help me start a future career. This experience has and will continue to prepare me throughout my future as an intern here and wherever I end up once I graduate!

From all of us at Mainstay, thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this event. We cannot wait to see you all again next year on Monday, June 23, 2025, for the 18th Annual Charlie Ross Memorial Charity Golf Outing!
