All In, In All We Do: Celebrating Our Incredible Team This September
September is always a special month at Mainstay because it includes Direct Support Professional (DSP) Recognition Week — a time to honor the DSPs who are at the very heart of our mission. This year, like last year, we’re also taking our celebrations a step further by recognizing our entire Mainstay team through our annual Employee Appreciation event, a joyful gathering dedicated to celebrating every person who helps Mainstay thrive. These moments reflect the deep gratitude we feel for the incredible people who go All In, In All We Do to enrich lives and unlock potential every single day.
Celebrating DSP Recognition Week: September 7–13
Direct Support Professionals are the backbone of our work, ensuring that every person we support can live with dignity, independence, and choice. Each day, they empower people with intellectual disabilities and autism to live meaningful lives—how they want to, and where they want to.

During DSP Recognition Week, we’ll show our gratitude through activities, daily trivia, DSP highlights, and more. It’s our way of saying thank you for the compassion, dedication, creativity, and resilience our DSPs bring to their work.
Employee Appreciation Event: September 25 – Our Employees Rock ’n’ Roll!
Later this month, we’ll gather as One Mainstay to celebrate all team members at our Employee Appreciation event. This year’s theme is “Our Employees Rock ’n’ Roll” because, simply put, our employees are rock stars! From those working directly with the people we support to those serving behind the scenes, every team member plays a key role in keeping Mainstay strong and moving forward.
At the event, we’ll turn up the volume on celebration as we recognize excellence across the organization:
- Mission Impact Award – recognizes significant, measurable impact that advances the Mainstay mission.
- Department of the Year Award – celebrates collaboration, performance, innovation, and alignment with Mainstay’s mission and organizational priorities.
- Milestone Employees – honors those reaching 5, 10, 15+ years of service.
This special event is more than an awards ceremony — it’s a chance to come together, celebrate as a community, and show appreciation for the incredible people who live out our vision, mission, and values every day.
Living Our Values, Every Day
In July, we introduced the monthly All In, In All We Do (AIIAWD) Award, which celebrates team members who embody our values (empowerment, dignity, collaboration, innovation, accountability) in meaningful ways.
This, along with the semi-annual Mission Impact Award and the annual Department of the Year Award, demonstrates our ongoing commitment to recognizing and uplifting our team.

A Time of Growth and Opportunity
As we celebrate our team, we’re also looking ahead to an exciting new chapter for Mainstay. Our recent announcement about our affiliation with Keystone Human Services (KHS.org) will open the door to incredible opportunities for both the people we support and our team members.
By joining forces with Keystone, we are building a stronger, more sustainable future — one that allows us to:
- Expand and enhance programs to better meet the unique needs of people with intellectual disabilities and autism.
- Provide greater opportunities for team members to grow their skills, take on new challenges, and advance their careers.
- Strengthen our impact regionally, while also gaining a voice on a national and even global stage through Keystone’s broader network.
Together, we are working to ensure that every person supported by Mainstay has the chance to live differently — how they want to and where they want to — while our employees are supported and empowered to reach their full potential.

Amazing things are happening at Mainstay because of our dedicated team. I am so grateful for the way our team goes All In, In All We Do. September is our month to spotlight our team, but their impact is felt every day of the year.
